Samsung is set to unveil the Galaxy Note 9 at a New York event on August 9 (1am August 10, AEST), having sent out invitations for its next "Unpacked" event. While the invite doesn't explicitly use the Note 9 name, it features a Note S Pen stylus which all but confirms what's on the cards.
We're expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to be a refined version of the Note 8, much in the same way the S9 iterated on the S8. Rumours suggest the design will be quite similar to that seen on last year's device, but with ever-so-slightly slimmer bezels. In terms of specs, we wouldn't be surprised to see the Note 9 powered by the same Exynos 9810 processor found in the S9, and feature a similar variable aperture dual camera configuration.
The prominent stylus featured on the invite could suggest that Samsung has big S Pen news. Rumours have pointed to it having Bluetooth on board, but it's not exactly clear as to why.
The Galaxy Note 8 launched at $1,499 last year, and we wouldn't be surprised if the Note 9 followed suit.
