Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO today announced a new local partnership with Australian retail stalwart Officeworks. Three OPPO smartphones will initially be available through Officeworks stores: the F1s, the R9, and the R9 Plus. The F1s priced at $348, R9 at $549, and R9 Plus at $699.
"Officeworks is one of Australia’s most respected retailers, so we’re delighted to be working with them," said OPPO Australia's Chief Marketing Officer Michael Tran. "We're still a relatively young player in the Australian market, so it just goes to show there is real appetite among consumers for our premium yet affordable smartphones."
OPPO smartphones are also available outright from JB Hi-Fi or on contract through Woolworths Mobile.
For what it's worth, we've been pleasantly impressed with the OPPO phones we've had a chance to test lately. While the cameras aren't quite as good what you'd get in a top-tier Apple, Samsung or Pixel device, OPPO phones tend to deliver value far above their asking price.
