
One of Australia's leading telcos, Optus, has launched a new prepaid SIM card for travellers visiting Down Under. The plan comes with 60GB for $30 on the first recharge, along with unlimited standard national talk and text.
The plan also comes with unlimited international calls to Canada, mainland China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, the UK and the USA. The plan is only for use within Australia.
The plan is prepaid and your credit will expire after 28 days. However, you can recharge your plan. On your second and third recharges you will get 35GB for $30, and from the fourth recharge onwards you will get 10GB for $30.
The Optus Travellers SIM will also allow you to access a 15% discount on over 2,000 tours, attractions and activities in Australia from Experience Oz. Discounted experiences include Movie World, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild on the Gold Coast, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and selected Cruise Whitsundays outings.
The Optus Traveller SIM is only available to new Optus customers and is only available for purchase at selected stores in Australia, including the Yes Optus store at:
- Sydney international airport
- Brisbane international airport
- Gold Coast airport
- Melbourne airport
- Perth airport
You can also buy the Optus Traveller SIM in selected stores in Australian airports such as WH Smith, awpl and NewsLink.
