LG's latest budget smartphone - the X Power - is now available in Australia for an asking price of $349. The device's flagship feature is a hefty 4,100mAh battery, which LG has managed to fit into a form-factor that's still only 7.9mm thick. For comparison, Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 has a 3,500mAh battery, and LG's Nexus 5X packs a 2,700mAh battery. In testing, PhoneArena found the X Power lasted just under twice as long as the Note 7 and iPhone 6s Plus.
When combined with a power-efficient processor and somewhat low resolution display, LG says that users should comfortable get two full days of usage in between charges. The X Power's battery also supports fast charging, for quicker top ups.
Other key specifications include a 5.3-inch 720p display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 16GB of expandable storage, 2GB of RAM, and a 13MP rear-facing camera. The LG X Power runs Android Marshmallow (6.01).
The LG X Power is available through JB Hi-Fi for $349.
If you pick up a LG X Power, you might also want to grab a new SIM card. Here a few great BYO device plans worth considering.
