Woolworths Mobile has a new offer that lets you grab any available iPhone and get a discount on plan costs, even though Woolies doesn't actually sell iPhones.
Telco providers have done a lot over the years to minimise pain points for consumers. Nowadays signing up to a new plan takes as little as a few clicks, or a quick conversation over the phone or in store. But because Woolworths doesn’t stock and sell iPhones directly, there’s a few more hoops to jump through to score this offer.
Firstly, customers will need to visit the Woolworths Mobile website and sign up for a 12-month SIM only plan, then follow a unique link to the Apple Store, where the iPhone purchase will be completed.
Once a customer has successfully navigated this online obstacle course, they will receive 50% off plan fees for three months; a discount of up to $75.
Prepaid customers who pick up an iPhone through Woolies won’t get any cost reductions, but they are eligible for a $25 eWish gift card.
Here are all the Woolworths Mobile 12 month SIM plans.
Anyone buying an iPhone through Woolworths Mobile also gets a one-year subscription to Apple TV+, though this offer isn't unique to the retail giant. Anyone buying an iPhone or iPad from any store can take up the same promo.
A maximum of $75 off plan fees is isn’t a huge discount for a $1,000+ handset, and a 12-month phone plan, but a discount is a discount nonetheless. If you’re planning on buying an iPhone outright, then Woolies is a solid choice of provider to pair it with.
Woolworths Mobile SIM-only and prepaid plans are powered by the Telstra network and comes with unlimited talk and text, 10GB bonus data every quarter, up to 200GB data banking, and 10% off the cost of your grocery, redeemable once per month.Anula Wiwatowska
