While new iPhone releases are typically met with excitement, the unveiling of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus was marred by one controversial decision: the omission of a headphone jack.
If you want to listen to music on your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, you've got three choices. You can use Bluetooth headphones, use Lightning headphones, or use the Lightning to 3.5mm dongle included in the box.
The problem with these last two options is that you're not able to charge your iPhone while using headphones (to take a call, listen to music, or a podcast), which could be problematic. Fortunately, accessory manufacturer Belkin has a solution: the Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar.
Belkin's Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar plugs into the iPhone 7's Lightning connector, and gives you two extra Lightning connectors. This makes it possible to use wired headphones while charging the iPhone at the same time. The Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar is compatible with Apple's Smart Battery Case, and with battery packs for on the go charging.
The Belkin Lightning Audio + Charge RockStar will be available in Australia from October, priced at $59.99. It will be sold exclusively through Apple stores.
