The latest update to the iOS version of GarageBand has made Apple's portable music creation suite quite a bit more versatile. The most exciting part of the update is that GarageBand users now have access to Alchemy, a synthesizer Apple added to its professional grade audio tool - Logic Pro X - back in 2015.
Other new features include multi-take recording, an updated audio recorder with vocal effects such as pitch correction, delay, and distortion, a better sound browser, a graphic equaliser, and support for third party audio units.
Logic Pro X users can now use iCloud integration to upload GarageBand compatible versions of their Logic projects to iCloud, which can be opened on iOS devices, then synced back to Logic.
GarageBand for iOS comes pre-installed on all new iPhone and iPads. If you've got an older device that didn't ship with GarageBand, you can nab it for $7.99 through the App Store.
