As we’ve previously reported, Dick Smith has been planning to launch post-paid mobile contracts in-store since last month. While initially announcing it will be providing Telstra, Optus and Vodafone services to customers, the retailer’s choice to partner with a smaller MVNO is its first step into the post-paid market.
So far, Dick Smith is making two Think Mobile plans available to its customers, both over a 24-month contract period:
Think Mobile Swift 3G Ultimate Plan
- $59.95 per month
- Unlimited standard calls, text and SMS within Australia
- 4GB of data
- Uses Vodafone's 3G network
The Swift 3G Ultimate Plan comes with either the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the Samsung Galaxy S III, the Nokia Lumia 925, Sony Xperia Z or the HTC One, all for $0 upfront.
Think Mobile Classic 3G Plan
- $50 per month
- $500 of included standard calls, texts and MMS within Australia
- 1.5GB of data
- Uses Telstra's 3G network
The Classic 3G Plan offers customers a choice of either the Motorola Razr HD, the Samsung Galaxy Express, the LG Optimus L7 Dual SIM, the Samsung ATIV S or the Huawei Ascend P6, all for $0 upfront.
The deal is a great opportunity for Think Mobile, with the small company now reaching more potential customers than ever before. Dick Smith operates over 260 retail stores nation-wide.
Dick Smith is equally excited, with Director of Mobility Steve Toth stating the partnership means customers will now have “…a simple, one-stop shop for all their mobility needs, whether that’s post-paid, pre-paid, buying outright or 12 months interest free.”
