Good deal: Get bonus Beats with a new iPhone plan on Optus

The lack of a headphone jack on newer iPhones can be a bit problematic. Sure, Apple will throw in okay Lightning connector buds in the box, but wireless costs extra.

Well, most of the time.

If you're after a new iPhone, Optus' latest promo gets you a bonus pair of wireless Beats Solo3 headphones with any 24-month iPhone plan that includes at least 50GB of data per month. The deal is available with every postpaid iPhone in Optus' range, spanning everything from the all-but-discontinued iPhone 6s to the uber expensive iPhone XS Max.

To get the deal, you'll need to sign up before the end of June, and redeem your Beats before July 15. The Beats Solo3 are valued at $399, so they're a comparatively high value bonus. They're only available in one colour however: matte black.

The headphones themselves are designed to work best with Apple products, featuring the same W1 chip you'll find in the original AirPods. This syncs the Solo3s to your iCloud account, which makes the easy to use across you iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch without having to constantly pair and re-pair. Better yet, the Beats Solo3 are said to last up to 40 hours per charge.
