It's 2018 and we still can't agree on a charging standard. iPhones and iPads are Lighting, half of Android phones are USB Type-C, the other half is microUSB. Bluetooth speakers and wireless headphones are microUSB or USB Type-C, most portable batteries are still topped up over microUSB, and everything is terrible. It feels like whenever I travel, I need to take at least three different charging cords for all the devices in my bag.
Fortunately, Belkin has a solution: a universal frankencable.
Belkin's Universal Cable is technically a microUSB cable, but it has USB Type-C and Lighting converters that snap to its side when not in use. It's 1.2 metres long, and operates at USB 2.0 speeds.
If you want to pick one up, the Universal Cable is available now and will set you back $39.95 through JB Hi-Fi or direct through Belkin's website. While that might seem a little costly for a cable, it's a small price to pay to end your charging nightmares.
