When Apple Music launched back in 2015, the streaming service offered new subscribers a pretty healthy three-month free trial - the longest in the industry at the time. Of course, all good things must come to an end: if you're new to party and want to try out Apple Music, you'll now need to fork out 99 cents.
99 cents will get you three months of access, after which you'll pay the standard $11.99 per month price as an individual. Family membership will set you back $17.99 per month (for up to six people), and if you're a uni student, you can get an Apple Music subscription for $5.99 per month.
Australia is currently one of the only countries affected by this change.
Notably, Spotify also charges new subscribers 99 cents for their first three months.
Telstra and Boost let you stream Apple Music data-free on the majority of their plans.
