Google's newly unveiled Pixel smartphones go on sale from October 20. Outright, the Pixel starts at $1,079 and the Pixel XL at $1,269. If you're not too keen on dropping over a grand on a phone in one go, a 24-month Telstra contract is your only option this time around, at least for the time being.
These start at $85 per month for the smaller Pixel, and the $92 per month for the larger Pixel XL.
Here are all of Telstra's Google Pixel plans.
Locally, the Pixel phones are available in a choice of "Quite Black" or "Very Silver".
Key specifications include a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, either 32GB or 128GB of storage, a 12.3MP rear-facing camera, and an 8MP front-facing camera. As with last year's Nexus devices, the Pixel phones have a rear-facing fingerprint reader and charge over USB Type-C.
The smaller 5-inch Pixel boasts a 1080p display, and is powered by a 2,770mAh battery. The larger 5.5-inch Pixel XL ups screen resolution to Quad HD, and runs on a 3,450mAh battery.
