Xiaomi today announced the 17T series phones; flagship handsets that are a bit more affordable than its top-of-the-line devices but with reasonably beefy specs for the asking price. And until the end of June, both new Xiaomi phones are even cheaper.

The Xiaomi 17T normally starts at $999 for a 256GB model, but it is initially available for $799. The Xiaomi 17T Pro will retail for $1,299 for the 256GB variant, but will launch at $1,099. On top of this, Xiaomi will also sell the 512GB models for the same price at launch, representing a further $200 saving.

Xiaomi is also throwing in a few extras. The Xiaomi 17T Pro comes with a bonus Redmi Pad 2, while the standard Xiaomi 17T includes over-ear headphones and a 20,000mAh powerbank.

Both phones are available from today, and Xiaomi's deals run until June 30. The $200 discount and bonus gadgets are applied automatically on Xiaomi's website, but users need to get a voucher code to also get the storage upgrade.

When it comes to the phones themselves, the Xiaomi 17T series are a light refresh on last year's 15T series, featuring new chipsets and bigger batteries. Notably, the standard 17T gets a 5x zoom lens this time, while the 15T had a 2x lens last year.

Key specifications for the Xiaomi 17T Pro include a 6.83-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, IP68 water-resistance, and a 7,00mAh battery. In terms of cameras, there's a 50MP primary lens, a 50MP 5x telephoto lens, and a 12MP ultra-wide lens on the back. On the front, there's a 32MP selfie camera.
