Google’s new Nexus phones, the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P, will be on Aussie shores in the next few weeks, but you won't find all options in the same place. Here is a guide to choosing a new Nexus phone plan based on which model you’re hanging out for.
For starters, the obvious place to start is on the Google Play Store, where both phones, in all storage variants, will be available to buy outright.
Nexus 5X
16GB = $659
32GB = $739
Some models will also be available at major electronics retailers JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman, where pricing will match the Google Play Store prices.
Nexus 5X on Telstra
Telstra has committed to selling the 32GB variant of the smaller-sized Nexus 5X in both Carbon Black and Ice Blue colours. The phone is available on all Telstra phone plans, and is $0 on $70 Plans and over. As you can see below, new phone customers also get a big bonus data offer on the Large and X-Large plans.
Nexus 6P on Vodafone, Optus and Virgin Mobile
Vodafone, Optus and its subsidiary Virgin Mobile are planning to stock the Nexus 6P 32GB, with stock in stores from November 2. Below are plans including 2GB of data, or more. If you don't see a plan that suits, hit the 'View Full Results' link to see even more.
