Vodafone network customers experienced connectivity issues this morning, but a spokesperson told WhistleOut the outage has now largely been resolved. The spokesperson recommended impacted customers restart their device if they are still having issues with their service, but added that some may still be experiencing problems.
"We are aware that some customers are experiencing intermittent issues with the Vodafone network this morning," said the spokesperson.
"The issue has been isolated and resolved, and services are now being progressively restored. We recommend customers power cycle their device to restore services."
According to Down Detector, issues started after 8am this morning, and peaked around 9.20am. Fresh reports of issues have tapered off, and WhistleOut has seen users on forums reporting their services have been restored.
In an updated statement, Vodafone added the following:
"The disruption was caused by an outage at one of our network hubs at around 8am. Most services have now been restored, however some may continue to experience intermittent issues as devices reconnect."
"Customers who could not access the Vodafone network should have been able to access Triple Zero by connecting to other available mobile networks during this time."
One WhistleOut staff member on a Vodafone MVNO is able to use mobile data again, but is still unable to make phone calls. Another on Vodafone itself has no connectivity, at time of writing.
Vodafone network providers include TPG, iiNet, Lebara, LycaMobile, felix, Kogan Mobile, and as of this week, Swoop and Moose Mobile. Not all customers were impacted.
