Vodafone is currently offering vouchers up to $1,200 to go towards a brand new phone, and figuring out the value of the deal requires some math.
The provider is offering either $400 or $1,200 handset vouchers that you can put towards buying a selection of Apple and Samsung flagship devices outright through the telco. To qualify for these vouchers you’ll need to sign up to one of two contracted plans; an $89 plan for 12 months for a $400 voucher, or a $99 plan for 24 months for the full $1,200 voucher. Here is what these plans look like.

When you commit to one of these plans you’ll need to use the value of the voucher immediately to go towards any device in the iPhone 13 family, an iPhone 12, the Samsung Galaxy S21 family, or the Galaxy Fold 3 or Flip 3. You’ll then be required to pay the remaining cost of the phone outright, and then you’ll simply pay your monthly plan fees for the duration of the contracted term.
This deal gives you hefty discounts on buying your phone outright, but it is important to note that these contracted plans are more expensive than Vodafone’s usual range of SIM-only plans. So it begs the question as to which deal is better for you. Some people might prefer to buy a phone outright for cheap, while others are happy to split up the cost over a few years.
We did the math on the base model phones with these plans as compared to Vodafone’s $55 Super Plan, which has the same amount of included monthly data.

Vodafone's handset vouchers are available until December 22, 2021 unless the offer is extended. Note that early exit fees equating 50% of the remaining cost for the duration of the contract apply if you decide to leave early, and you can't bundle these plans with any Bundle and Save promotions from the provider.
