Vodafone has upped data allowances across most postpaid plans, while also slashing prices. This means its SIM-only plans start at $35 per with 50GB. The price discount will last for your first 12 months, after which you'll pay $40 per month, but you'll keep your data allowance for the life of your plan.
The discounts are as follows:
- $40 with 10GB is now $35 with 50GB
- $45 with 30GB is now $40 with 60GB
- $55 with 60GB is now $45 with 100GB
- $65 with 100GB is now $55 with 200GB
Once again, these discounts last for your first 12 months. Vodafone's SIM-only plans are all contract-free, however.
For comparison, Optus' cheapest postpaid plan is $40 per month with 10GB, and Telstra's is $55 per month with 40GB.

Vodafone's discount plans can also be paired with a new device. If you do so, you'll get the discount for the life of your plan, rather than just your first 12 months. Here are the iPhone 12 models Vodafone currently has available:
Vodafone is running this offer until November 12, so you'll still be able to benefit from the discount and bonus data if you're looking to pre-order an iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 12 Pro Max come November 7.
The provider's mobile plans now all include unlimited data at slower speeds for when you go over your allowance. Lite plans are capped at 2Mbps, Super plans are capped at 10Mbps, and Ultra plans are capped at 25Mbps. Vodafone previously capped unlimited data to 1.5Mbps, so even customers on its cheapest plans still benefit from a speed bump.
