iPhone customers on Telstra Go Mobile plans has a musical surprise waiting for them when they next log into their Telstra accounts.
From today, all post-paid Telstra customers using an iPhone can redeem a 12-month subscription to Apple Music, a new streaming music service delivering “millions of songs” in the vein of existing services like Spotify.
Ordinarily, Apple’s customers pay $11.99 per month for a subscription, giving the Telstra offer a total value of just over $140.
New customers purchasing an iPhone on either a 12- or 24-month Go Mobile plan will also have the 12-month subscription adding to their accounts. After the first year, customers who choose to keep their Apple Music subscription can have the $11.99 added to their monthly Telstra bill.
Looking for a phone other than an iPhone: sorry, but there’s no Apple Music for you. This might seem a stingy move by Telstra but considering that there is no Apple Music app for Android or Windows Phone, it kind of makes sense. It’s a shame that there is no alternate offer for everyone else, though.
If you are an eligible Apple fan on the Telstra network, head over to the Telstra site and log in to My Account.
