Sibling telcos Tangerine and More are increasing their mobile plan prices by as much as $5 per month. The new pricing kicks in from September 10, and existing customers will be charged the new amount from their first bill following the increase.
Here is how Tangerine's mobile plans are changing:
| Old Plan | New Plan |
|---|---|
| $23 per month with 12GB | $25 per month with 14GB |
| $25 per month with 25GB | $30 per month with 30GB |
| $34 per month with 32GB | $36 per month with 50GB |
| $40 per month with 50GB | $42 per month with 75GB |
| $46 per month with 80GB | $48 per month with 100GB |
| $58 per month with 150GB | $60 per month with 160GB |
And here is how More's mobile plans are changing:
| Old Plan | New Plan |
|---|---|
| $26 per month with 12GB | $28 per month with 14GB |
| $32 per month with 25GB | $33 per month with 30GB |
| $38 per month with 32GB | $40 per month with 50GB |
| $44 per month with 50GB | $46 per month with 75GB |
| $50 per month with 80GB | $52 per month with 100GB |
| $64 per month with 150GB | $65 per month with 160GB |
CommBank mobile customers are able to save $4 per month on plan fees of all More mobile plans.
While no one likes a price rise, these changes also offer Tangerine and More customers an opportunity to save money on some tiers. While Tangerine customers on the $40 plan with 50GB will be moved to a $42 plan with 75GB, they could instead change their plan to the upcoming $36 plan with 50GB. The same holds true with More's equivalent plans.
Similarly, customers on either telco's 32GB plan could drop down to the new 30GB plan following the price increase to save a few bucks a month.
Tangerine and More aren't the only Telstra-powered mobile providers increasing their prices this month. ALDI Mobile has confirmed it will be axing its cheapest plan options from September 24.
Notably, Everyday Mobile (formerly Woolworths Mobile) is an exception. The telco has committed to not increasing the price of its mobile plans in 2025.
