Samsung will hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event at 5am (AEDT) on February 26. In a press release, the manufacturer confirmed it will use the event to unveil its next S series phones - presumably the Galaxy S26 family. Once again, three phones are expected: the standard Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
While Samsung hasn't gone into specifics about the devices themselves, AI will once again be a key feature for the phones. The company says the phones will mark "a new phase in the era of AI as intelligence becomes truly personal and adaptive".
Pre-orders are expected to start on February 26, following the keynote. Fine print on the Samsung Australia website suggests pre-orders will run until March 10, which would mean a March 11 release date. An FAQ on the same page says Samsung will also unveil new Galaxy Buds.
Anyone who registers for more information on the Samsung website will get a $50 voucher to spend during the pre-order period. This voucher can only be used on other Galaxy products, such as tablets, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds.
According to the rumour mill, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will get a new 200MP camera and a "privacy" display that makes it harder for others to look at the screen. The standard Galaxy S26 is meant to be a little bigger and have a larger battery, while the Galaxy S26 Plus is set to be largely unchanged from last year's model. The three phones are all expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
