Samsung will reportedly reveal the Galaxy S26 family on February 25 (likely February 26 local time), according to reputable leakers including Evan Blass and Ice Universe. Based on past years, this would suggest the new devices would hit shelves in early to mid-March.
While Samsung has typically revealed its S-series phones in January or February, launch timing has moved to earlier in that window in the last few years. The Galaxy S25 family was revealed in January ahead of a mid-February release date, for example.
Reports suggest the delayed launch may be due to Samsung rejigging the phone family. Samsung was originally expected to launch a Galaxy S26 Edge, but the company has reportedly cancelled development of the phone due to disappointing Galaxy S25 Edge sales. It was expected the Galaxy S26 Edge would replace the Galaxy S26 Plus in the range, but it is now believed Samsung will sell the plus after all.
In recent years, Samsung's A-series devices have taken the spotlight in March ahead of an April release date. Given the later Galaxy S26 release date, it's unclear what this will mean for Samsung's more affordable phones.
