Following the refresh of the Powerbeats Pro earlier in the year, Apple is launching another pair of sporty earbuds under its Beats sub-brand. Dubbed the Powerbeats Fit, the earbuds are pitched as "an evolution" of the Beats Fit Pro launched in 2022.
The biggest changes are aesthetic. The buds themselves have a redesigned wing-tip that provides "all-day comfort" while still being as stable as the earhook design of the Powerbeats Pro 2. The battery case has been shrunk by 17%, and now has an IPX4 rating for splash resistance, just like the earbuds.
Despite the smaller case size, the Powerbeats Fit can still get up to six hours of playback per charge with noise cancelling on, and a total of 24 hours with the case.
As with the Beats Fit Pro, the Powerbeats Fit use Apple's H1 chip. The H1 is what gives AirPods their secret sauce, allowing them to pair instantly with Apple devices and be shared across any compatible product connected to your Apple ID, whether it's an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac. This is an older version of Apple's headphone chipset, however, with the latest AirPods and Powerbeats featuring the newer H2 variant.
While the Powerbeats Fit will work seamlessly with the Apple ecosystem, an Android app means compatibility is pretty robust across platforms.
Powerbeats Fit are available to order now in Australia ahead of an October 3 release date, retailing for $329.95. You can get them in Jet Black, Gravel Gray, Power Pink, or Spark Orange (which would go pretty nicely with the new orange iPhone 17 Pro).
