OPPO Reno 2

That didn't take long. The Reno 5G may have only hit stores in June, but OPPO is already back for round two. The manufactured overnight announced the Reno 2 family, encompassing a trio of devices: the Reno 2, the Reno 2 Z, and the Reno 2 F.

All three devices skew toward the midrange side of things, whereas the Reno 5G and Reno 10x Zoom Edition were distinctly flagship phones. The new group all share a couple of key features including a pop-up selfie camera, an in-screen fingerprint reader, a headphone jack, a 4,000mAh battery with fast charging, and four-rear facing cameras.

The OPPO Reno 2 is the most premium out of the bunch. It has the same shark-fin pop up camera we saw in the Reno 5G, and four rear-facing cameras. These include a 48MP primary camera, a 13MP 2x zoom lens that can also be used 5x hybrid zoom, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 2MP monochrome lens.

Other key specifications for the Reno 2 include a 6.55-inch 1080p+ display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor. It will come in two storage variants: 128GB with 6GB of RAM, or 256GB with 8GB of RAM.

OPPO Reno 2 F

The Reno 2 Z and Reno 2 F are a little lower end. Instead of the shark-fin selfie camera, they feature less visually striking pop-up selfie cameras that simply slide up and down.

The pair have similar rear-facing cameras, including a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 2MP monochrome lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. The 48MP lens on the Reno 2 Z is identical to the Reno 2, whereas the Reno 2 F has a lower end 48MP lens.

Other key specifications for the Reno 2 Z include a 6.53-inch 1080p+ display and a MediaTek Helio P90 processor. It will come in two storage variants: 128GB with 6GB of RAM, or 256GB with 8GB of RAM.

And other key specifications for the Reno 2 F include a 6.53-inch 1080p+ display and a MediaTek Helio P70 processor. It will come in two storage variants: 128GB with 6GB of RAM, or 128GB with 8GB of RAM.

Local pricing and availability for the trio have yet to be announced. Based on currency conversions, we could be looking at around $760 for the Reno 2, and the $620 for the Reno 2 Z. No pricing has been announced for the Reno 2 F yet.
