OPPO today announced local pricing and availability for the Reno 15 series, the latest additions to its "semi-premium" phone range. This time, OPPO is bringing two Reno 15 devices to Australia: the high-end $1,399 Reno 15 Pro and the mid-tier $679 Reno 15 F.
The Reno 15 Pro's most notable feature is a surprisingly small display. While OPPO's non-foldable phones typically have a 6.6-inch display or larger, the Reno 15 Pro has a more compact 6.32-inch display. That's certainly not small, but it gives OPPO a phone closer in size to the iPhone 17 and the Galaxy S25.
For comparison, last year's OPPO Reno 13 Pro had a 6.83-inch display. Even much older OPPO devices like 2018's R17 Pro had a 6.4-inch screen. Despite the shrinkage, the Reno 15 Pro has a 400mAh larger battery than the Reno 13 Pro, with a total capacity of 6,200mAh.
Key specifications for the Reno 15 Pro include a 6.32-inch 1216p+ display with a 120Hz refresh, a MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, IP69 water resistance, and the aforementioned 6,200mAh battery. On the back, there's a 200MP primary lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 3x zoom lens. On the front, there's a 50MP selfie camera.
The cheaper Reno 15 F has a slightly larger display, featuring a 6.57-inch panel, making it more typical for an OPPO device. As a cheaper phone, the hardware is more "mid-tier", but the Reno 15 F keeps the IP69 water resistance from its pricier sibling and has an even larger battery.
Key specifications for the Reno 15 F include a 6.57-inch 1080p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, IP69 water resistance, and a 6,500mAh battery. There's a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens on the back, and a 50MP selfie camera on the front.
The Reno 15 Pro and Reno 15 F ship with Android 16, and an OPPO spokesperson told WhistleOut the pair will get five major operating system upgrades and six years of security updates. That's in line with what OPPO promises for its flagship devices like the Find X9 Pro.
Both devices go on sale from February 5. The Reno 15 Pro will sell for $1,399 an will be available from JB Hi-Fi and OPPO's online store. The Reno 15 F will sell for $679, and will also be available at Officeworks, Big W, Harvey Norman, and The Good Guys, on top of the aforementioned retailers.
