OPPO's latest flagship phones - the Find X10 and the Find X10 Pro Max - are now available to pre-order in Australia, and while the pair are more expensive than last year's models, the manufacturer is throwing in freebies for the launch period.
The "standard" Find X10 sells for $2,299 this year, which is a $500 increase on the the Find X9, while the Find X10 Pro Max sells for $2,699, which is a $400 increase on the Find X9 Pro. But no matter which you pre-order, you'll get a Teleconverter Kit valued at $799.
The Teleconverter Kit (pictured below) is a clip on camera lens that increases the zoom the phones are capable of. The default setting is around 10x optical zoom when compared to the primary camera, but the Teleconverter Kit can pus has far as 40x using software. When testing the Teleconverter Kit last year, we found around 20x was the sweet spot.
Other pre-order bonuses for the Find X10 include an OPPO Watch S and a 5,000mAh power bank. Other pre-order bonuses for the Find X10 Pro Max include an OPPO Watch S and an OPPO Pad SE tablet.
These offers are available to customers buying the phones outright through retailers including OPPO's online store, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon, Officeworks, The Good Guys, and Harvey Norman. Pre-orders start today ahead of an October 28 release date, but the launch offer is available until November 11.
Vodafone will be ranging the Find X10 Pro Max on a phone plan, and will have its own launch offer. Anyone who picks up the phone between October 29 and November 16 will get an $800 discount, which is applied across the length of the plan.
When it comes to the phones themselves, the Find X10 Pro Max stands out thanks to its camera configuration: on the back, you’ll find three 200MP cameras, which is a world first. These include a primary lens, an ultra-wide, and a 3x zoom lens. The standard Find X10 scales this back to a 200MP primary lens, a 200MP 2.8x zoom lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide. Both phones have a 50MP selfie camera.
Other key specifications for the Find X10 Pro Max include a 6.78-inch 1,272p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimenisty 9600 Pro chipset, 512GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, IP69 resistance, and a 7,150mAh battery.
And other key specifications for the Find X10 include a 6.59-inch 1,272p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimenisty 9600M chipset, 512GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, IP69 resistance, and a 7,150mAh battery.
Both the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro will get five major operating system upgrades and six years of security updates. That's in line with last year's Find X9 devices, but falls a little short of the seven and seven years promised by Samsung and Google on their equivalent flagship devices.
