OPPO's new $369 phone comes with $300 wireless earbuds

OPPO this week launched its latest mid-tier phone, the OPPO A79 5G, and anyone who picks it up before the end of the month will score a bonus pair of wireless earbuds. The earbuds in question are OPPO's Enco X. The Enco X are a bit old now - they launched in 2021 - but OPPO still sells them for $299 via its online store.

We were fans of the Enco X when we reviewed them in 2021, and we'd wager they still hold up pretty well now. A 33W fast charging wall plug is also included as part of the bonus offer.

To be eligible for the offer, you need to purchase the OPPO A79 5G before February 1. The earbuds and wall charger can then be redeemed through OPPO's website. This needs to be done before February 15.

In terms of the phone itself, the OPPO A79 5G is in line with what you'd expect for its $369 price point. Key specifications include a 6.72-inch 1080p+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. There's a 50MP primary camera and 2MP depth camera on the back, and an 8MP selfie camera on the front.

The OPPO A79 5G is available in a choice of black or green. The green finish is rather unique, and features a feather-like design that almost makes the phone look marbled.

JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys, Officeworks, and OPPO's online store are all ranging the A79 5G. At this stage, it's not available on a mobile plan.
