OPPO's latest budget handset - the OPPO A76 - went on sale today, and if you pick it up before April 17, you'll score a free pair of the manufacturer's Enco Wireless W12 earbuds valued at $99.
While a free headphone offer is of course an appealing proposition, the OPPO A76 has more going for it than just bonus buds. The device is OPPO's first A series device to include fast charging, a feature that's still far from common in the more affordable space. OPPO says a five-minute charge is enough to get you 3.5 hours of bonus talk time.
The OPPO A76 is also rated IPX4 for splash resistance. An IPX4 rating means the OPPO A76 is protected from splashing water, no matter what direction it's coming from. In practical terms, the OPPO A76 won't have any issues with sweat or rain damaging it. While IPX4 is a far cry from being able to dunk your phone in water, any sort of IP certification is uncommon on cheaper phones.
Other key specifications include a 6.56-inch 720p+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 680 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000mAh battery. On the back, you'll find a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth camera. On the front, there's an 8MP selfie camera.
The OPPO A76 will set you back $349 outright and you can get in a choice of black or blue. Outright you'll find it at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, and Big W, among other retailers. If you're hoping to get it on a plan, Woolworths Mobile will be ranging the OPPO A76.
