JB Hi-Fi has expanded its range of Nothing phones to encompass the manufacturer's budget brand: CMF. The retailer is now offering the CMF Phone 1 both online and in-store, making it the third Nothing-made device to officially make its way Down Under.
The CMF Phone 1 is similar to the Nothing Phone 2a, but more affordable. Key specifications include a 6.7-inch 1080p+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a Dimensity 7300 processor, a 50MP primary camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. Pricing starts at $399 for a 128GB model, or $449 for a 256GB.
From a specs perspective, the big difference between the CMF Phone 1 and the Nothing Phone 2a is NFC. The CMF Phone 1 is missing it, which could be a deal breaker for anyone accustomed to making payments with their phone.
From a more philosophical perspective, the CMF Phone 1 stands out thanks to a somewhat modular design. Users can replace the back case themselves to change the phone's colour. There are also accessories like a lanyard and kickstand that can be integrated into the phone.
JB Hi-Fi isn't selling any of these accessories, but they're available through Nothing's online store. Nothing's online store bills in AUD and ships to Australia, but a retail presence can still be invaluable for those who want to check out a phone from a new manufacturer before committing to a purchase.
