HMD today announced local availability for the Nokia X20, its latest midrange smartphone. While the phone itself is a rather typical midrange range device, it has a few interesting perks that should help with longevity.
The most unique of these is one free screen replacement if you manage to break your Nokia X20 during your first three months. While shattering your screen never feels great, it feels even worse just after you've bought a phone, so a little extra protection is definitely welcome.
In addition, the Nokia X20 is backed by a three-year warranty, and is guaranteed three years of security updates and major Android operating system upgrades. This means it should get upgrades all the way through to Android 14.
Key specifications for the Nokia X20 include a 6.67-inch 1080p+ display, a Snapdragon 480 5G processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 4,470mAh battery said to last up to two days. On the back you'll find four cameras including a 64MP primary lens, 5MP ultra-wide lens, 2MP depth lens, and 2MP macro lens.
The Nokia X20 is now available for pre-order via JB Hi-Fi for $599 ahead of a June 3 release date. Anyone who pre-orders will get a pair of Nokia Power Earbuds Lite as a bonus valued at $49.
Come June 3, you'll also be able to pick it up from Officeworks and via the Nokia website. It will also be available through Harvey Norman and Big W at a later date.
The Nokia X20 is available in a choice of "Midnight Sun" or "Nordic Blue".
