HMD is refreshing part of its immense smartphone portfolio with two new midrange devices: the Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 7.2 (pictured above).
The Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 are pretty similar for the most part. They both have 6.3-inch 1080p+ notched displays, they both have a 3,500mAh battery that lasts up to two days, and other than slightly a different finish on the glass, they look almost identical.
Where the real differences lie is camera. Both have three rear-facing cameras, and the Nokia 6.2 sounds fine. It has a 16MP primary lens, an 8MP wide-angle, and a 5MP depth sensor. Not bad for a midrange phone, but not overly exciting.
The Nokia 7.2 is a bit more interesting however. It has a 48MP primary lens, an 8MP wide-angle lens, and a 5MP lens, and a few software tricks up its sleeve. You'll get a portrait mode that emulates the bokeh from classic Zeiss lenses, and it's also the first Nokia smartphone to have a night mode. The Nokia 7.2's night mode combines at least six images (and up to 20) for a brighter shot in low light environments. In short, it should take nicer photos, and be a bit more versatile when compared to the Nokia 6.2

Other key specifications for the Nokia 6.2 a Snapdragon 636 processor, and at least 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM. And other key specifications for the Nokia 7.2 include a Snapdragon 660 processor, and at least 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM.
Both smartphones are powered by Android One, based on Pie. They will however get upgraded to Android 10 rather promptly.
The Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 will both be available in Australia, but local pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed. Based on currency conversions, we're expecting them to come in at around $350 and $500, respectively.
