Australians can now pre-order Motorola's latest high-end devices - the Razr 60 and the Edge 60 Pro - ahead of a July 10 release date.
The Razr 60 is Motorola's latest flip-style foldable. There's a 3.6-inch external display with a 90Hz refresh rate on the outside, and you'll find a 1080p+ 6.9-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate when you unfold it.
Other key specifications include a Mediatek Dimensity 7400X chipset, 256GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, eSIM support, IP48 water resistance, and a 4,500mAh battery. On the photography front, the Razr 60 has a 50MP primary lens, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP selfie camera.
The phone will get three years of operating system updates, and four years of security updates. This falls short of what Samsung guarantees for its foldable devices, with recent models like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 receiving seven years of both security and operating system updates.
What's a little weirder is Motorola's $499 Moto G75 has been promised five years of operating system updates and six years of security.
The Razr 60 is available exclusively through JB Hi-Fi, retailing for $1,199. You can buy it in a choice of two Pantone colours: "Gibralatar Sea" or "Parfait Pink". The former has a "nylon-inspired" texture, while the latter is more like vegan leather.
While Motorola sells a higher-end Razr 60 Ultra overseas, this is not currently launching in Australia. A local Motorola spokesperson told WhistleOut they are unable to comment or confirm whether the device will be available at a later date.

Motorola's other new phone - the Edge 60 Pro - is a more conventional device. Standout features include IP69 water resistance (which makes it resistant to high-pressure water jets) and a larger-than-normal 6,000mAh battery. Many Android phones max out at 5,000mAh
Other key specifications include a 6.7-inch 1220p+ display, a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme chipset, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and eSIM support. The camera configuration includes a 50MP primary lens, 50MP ultra-wide lens, 10MP 3x zoom lens, and a 50MP selfie camera.
Like the Razr 60, the Edge 60 Pro will get three years of operating system updates and four years of security updates.
The Edge 60 Pro also retails for $1,199 in Australia. It's available to order through the usual suspects, including JB Hi-Fi, Amazon, and Motorola's website. You can get in a choice of "Shadow" or "Sparkling Grape".
