Prices for last year's folding Motorola Razr 40 have dropped under $500, making it one of the best deals we've seen on a foldable device. The flip-phone style device is available for $499 at retailers including JB Hi-Fi and Big W, and $495 at The Good Guys.
The Razr 40 was already the most affordable foldable to launch in Australia, with a full price of $999. It's effectively a mid-range take on a foldable, featuring more modest specs. The external display is just 1.5-inch for example, and it runs a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, rather than a beefier 8-series chips.
Other key specifications for the Razr 40 include a 6.9-inch 1080p+ display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, IP52 splash-resistance, and a 4,200mAh battery. You'll find a 64MP primary camera and 13MP ultra-wide camera paired with a 32MP selfie camera.
When we reviewed the Razr 40 last year, we were impressed by the value on offer, even at full price. We found the finish surprisingly premium, the battery to be excellent, and the display crease to be less prominent than more expensive devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 5.
