You’ve got to admire the themes that small telcos decide on. We’ve got Tangerine - the self-proclaimed juiciest provider out there, Dodo - a ubiquitously extinct bird that is spruiking new tech, and then there is Moose Mobile.
Moose Mobile’s friendly, smiling moose mascot can’t help but remind you of the similarly friendly land of Canada, despite being based entirely in Brisbane.
This genial demeanour doesn’t stop with the mascot, Moose Mobile is known to have some of the longest-running promotional discounts in the Australian telco market. Right now, three of the provider’s new plans come with a monthly discount for the first 12 months.
Recently, Moose Mobile shook up its plans and now offers more data on the whole selection. The standout deal is easily the Moose 16.80 SIM Only Promo plan. For $16.80 for the first 12 months, you’ll get 25GB along with unlimited talk and text. Once the promo ends, this plan reverts to $23.80 per month, but since these plans are contract-free you can always opt out at the end.
Powered by the Optus network, Moose Mobile covers 98.5% of the Australian population using both 3G and 4G. 5G is not currently available.
Here is how Moose’s plans compare to other Optus powered providers.
