Lebara today adds a sprinkling of data across its range of plans, boosting value just enough to beat out competitors at key price points.
The Lebara National Plan ($29.90) and Unlimited Plan ($49.90) both receive a 500MB boost, increasing the data to 2.5GB on both plans. The Lebara Mega Plan adds 1GB, now up to 5GB for $39.90 per month.
These are small increases, but for the plans listed above it is enough to give Lebara a small value lead over its closest competitors.
These plan upgrades are introduced on top of already generous promotions Lebara is currently running. New customers get 50% off the price of their first month’s service and all plans currently have a bonus 2GB included as well. This means Mega Plan customers get 7GB during the promo period, for $15 less than competitor amaysim charges for the same data allowance.
Lebara’s plans are difficult to compare to other providers because of the generous international calling inclusions that make these plans so attractive to a segment of mobile phone users. It’s Unlimited Plan is a good example; its unlimited international calls to 50 countries more than makes up for the comparatively low 2GB data inclusion.
