Honor's next foldable has a durability claim currently unmatched by rivals: an IP69 water-resistance rating. Revealed this week at Mobile World Congress, the Magic V6 can survive being subjected to high-pressure water jets, on top of submersion and dust ingress.
So far, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold is the only foldable we've seen with a similar level of protection, thanks to its IP68 rating. Prior to that, we saw foldables with protection against water, but not against dust. An IP6X rating effectively means a phone is completely sealed against dust and dirt, which is especially important when there are moving parts like hinges.
Even if most of us don't encounter high-pressure water jets in our day-to-day, another foldable that's properly protected against dust is very welcome.

Other key confirmed specifications for the Magic V6 include a 6.52-inch external display and 7.95-inch internal display, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and a 6,600mAh battery. A full hardware rundown has yet to be confirmed.
The Magic V6 is set to be released in "select markets" in the second half of this year. It is not clear if Australia will be included, but Honor did launch the Magic V5 locally at the end of 2025.
