Note: Vodafone prices have already gone up significantly for the One M9 since preorders started. The others are sure to follow, so you might want to get in quick.
The HTC One (M9) is officially available for preorder on plans in Australia, set for a March 24 release date. Right now you can sign up on Telstra, Optus or Vodafone to secure yourself this year’s shiny new HTC flagship.
Eventually it will be released on all three carriers in both the Gold on Silver and Rose Gold colours. If you’re after the Gunmetal Grey variant then that’s a Telstra exclusive. Right now Optus and Vodafone have only the Gold on Silver option, and Telstra has both Gold on Silver and Gunmetal Grey available for preorder.
It’s a good idea to get in quick. Thanks to the state of the Aussie dollar, smartphones are getting pretty expensive. The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus range all just went up around 15%, and the HTC One (M9) is going to start at a whopping $1099 in Australia.
Despite this, monthly repayment prices for the One (M9) closely reflect what we saw last year with the significantly-cheaper (M8). Leave things too long and the Australian carriers may have to change their pricing to make up for the new inflated phone prices.
Telstra
Telstra is offering the One M9 in both Gold on Silver and Gunmetal Grey. Plans start at $78 per month.
