Google has revealed official images of the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, following countless leaks over the past weeks. The manufacturer didn't provide any other information, but once again, AI is expected to be a major focus.
Google will reveal the rest on August 14, which is an unusually early launch for Pixel phones. In the past, they've typically been released in October or November. As such, the Pixel 9 series will likely go on sale before the iPhone 16 family.
Rumours have suggested the Pixel 9 family is growing. While in previous years Google has launched a standard and Pro model, four devices are on the cards for this year: the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
The Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL are set to have feature parity, but the Pixel 9 Pro will be smaller in size. Likely the same size as the standard Pixel 9, for those who want a smaller device without compromising on specs.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold will be Google's second attempt at a foldable, and will sit under the same banner as the rest of the mainline Pixel devices. The original Pixel Fold never made it to Australia, but the Pixel 9 Pro Fold image appears on Google's Australian website, so the odds definitely seem better this time around.
If you're looking for a Google-made handset, and don't want to wait, Optus and Vodafone currently have some solid discounts on last year's Pixel 8 devices when you buy them on a phone plan.
Optus has a $599 discount on the Pixel 8, which is divided across the life of the plan. That works out to be a $16.63 per month saving on a 36-month repayment term, with prices start at $68.64 per month. Here are Optus' Pixel 8 plans:
Meanwhile, Vodafone has an $800 discount on the Pixel 8 Pro, which is roughly a saving of $22.22 per month on a 36-month repayment. Prices start at $73.96 per month. Here are Vodafone's Pixel 8 Pro plans:
