Optus and Vodafone have discounted Samsung’s latest foldy-lads, bringing the Z Flip 3 down to just $1,200.
Both telcos have the same $300 discount running on the Z Flip 3 and the Z Fold 3. The $300 is split up across your equal monthly repayments, so if you jump on a 24-month plan it will be $12.50 cheaper each month, or $8.33 cheaper on a 36-month plan.
Here are how the two telcos compare on the Z Flip 3;
And here are the Z Fold 3 plans;
Nabbing a foldable for $1,200 is an absolute bargain, and the Z Flip 3 is arguably the best commercially available foldable on the market at the moment. In our testing the Z Flip had a beautiful display across its foldable form, reminiscent of the old clamshell phones. While the camera was lackluster compared to the S series devices, it still held its own. Our main concern was the battery life which sat between two and three hours of screen time.
Where the Z Flip becomes a bargain, the Z Fold’s price tag is still on the higher end. Even with the discount it will still set you back $2,200 over the course of your plan. Of course, the Z Fold is aimed as a replacement for both your phone and your tablet. Its larger screen gives you more space to multitask, and has S-Pen support, making it a viable alternative to having two devices.
