Dodo NBN customers can now bundle on a unlimited data mobile plan to their account for $19 per month.
Dubbed an "infinity mobile plan", then plan has genuinely all you can eat data, with speeds capped at 50Mbps. This makes it similar to felix mobile, the only other provider to offer a truly unlimited mobile plan. felix's unlimited plans have a 40Mbps or 80Mbps speed limit, depending on the price.
While other providers have plans that are technically unlimited, the catch is a little different. Instead of having a permanent speed cap, the plans have a full speed data allowance, and then an unlimited data allowance at a much slower speed after that's been exceeded. 50GB of full speed data, for example, and then slower data at 1.5Mbps.
Dodo's 50Mbps is much more usable than 1.5Mbps, and is the equivalent of an NBN 50 connection.
Dodo's infinity mobile plan can be added to any of its NBN plans. New NBN customers can bundled one when signing up for a Dodo NBN plan, or existing customers can do so through the MyDodo portal.
Here are Dodo's NBN plans:
Dodo mobile plans are powered by the Optus network. The infinity mobile plan also has unlimited talk and text and $100 of international call credit per month. A maximum of two infinity plans can be added to a Dodo account.
If an infinity plan customers cancels their Dodo NBN plan but not their mobile plan, they'll be moved to Dodo's most expensive mobile plan from the next billing month. At time of writing, that's $40 per month.
Dodo NBN customers can also save by bundling gas or electricity. Customers get a $5 discount for adding gas onto the same account, and $5 for electricity. Dodo sells electricity in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Victoria, but only sells gas in New South Wales and Victoria.
