Optus MVNO Catch Connect will rebrand itself from May 1, when it will become OnePass Mobile.
It was announced back in January that Catch Connect would continue to operate despite the closure of Wesfarmer's deals website Catch.com.au, which is due to take effect from today.
According to the Catch Connect website, for now, the rebrand is largely cosmetic.
An FAQ on the site reads "OnePass mobile will also be part of the Optus family and will offer all the things you want from a mobile plan, at an affordable price: value, speed, reliable service and no hidden fees or lock-in contracts. It's powered by the Optus 4G network, so you'll get the same great coverage you enjoy today.
"Existing customers can continue to use and recharge their services without disruption."
Here's a look at Catch Connect's SIM-only mobile plans as they currently are:
Catch Connect's app will be updated to a new OnePass app, existing customers will just need to open the app and follow prompts to update. User credentials will stay the same.
If you have any issues, you can contact the Catch Connect/One Pass Mobile customer service 1300 222 825 or chat with them online.
OnePass itself is a shopping membership program similar to Amazon Prime for Wesfarmers group brands. This includes retailers Kmart, Target, Bunnings, Officeworks and Priceline Pharmacy. For a monthly or annual membership, OnePass members can get free delivery from participating stores and earn five times the Flybuys points.
There's no word yet that there'll be any perks for OnePass Mobile customers, but given the success of brands like Everyday Mobile (formerly Woolworths Mobile) more could be on the horizon.
New customers will be able to purchase plans from OnePass Mobile from tomorrow.
