Australians will be able to get their hands on the newly announced Beats Studio Buds Plus from June 13, following this week's launch in select international markets.
Like their predecessors, the Beats Studio Buds Plus continue to be the most platform-agnostic earbuds in Apple's broader portfolio. While the Studio Buds Plus don't feature the same H1 or H2 chips featured in AirPods and select other Beats products, they still seamless pairing across any Apple device to the same iCloud account, Find My, and Hey Siri.
Unlike AirPods, the new Beats wireless earbuds also have a suite of features for Android users, including Google Fast Pair, audio switching, and support for Google's Find My Device. They also charge via USB-C, rather than Lightning.
In terms of what's new, Apple says the Studio Buds Plus feature better noise-cancelling, an improved transparency mode, upgraded microphones, and a larger battery when compared to their predecessors. They also come in a nostalgia-inducing transparent finish, but if you hate fun, you can also pick from white and black.
The Beats Studio Buds Plus will retail for $269.95 locally, which is a bit pricier than the $199.95 their predecessors launched for in 2021.
