Aspera's new $99 phone is dual SIM ready

Smartphone prices might keep climbing, but Aspera has today announced the Jazz 2, a new budget handset coming in at just $99. While most of its specifications are pretty standard for a cheap smartphone, it has one rather unique feature: dual SIM support. Dual SIM is pretty uncommon on handsets this cheap, especially dual SIM where both SIM cards are 4G-ready.

Other key specifications for the Aspera Jazz 2 include a 4.95-inch 480p+ display, a MediaTek 6739WW 1.5Ghz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 1,900mAh battery.

The Jazz 2 runs Android 9 Go, a lighter take on Android tuned for faster and smoother performance on entry-level hardware. Apps start faster, the operating system takes up less storage, and Google has redesigned many of its apps to be lighter and less data-intensive. At this stage, Aspera doesn't have a planned upgraded to Android 10 Go.

If you want to get your hands on the Aspera Jazz 2, you'll be able to find it Harvey Norman, Big W, BP, Retravision, and MobileCiti.
