Apple is reopening its Sydney store in the Chatswood Chase shopping centre tomorrow, following an 18-month closure while the mall was under redevelopment. Much like the Chatswood shopping centre, the Apple store has been given a big refresh.
While the original Chatswood store - pictured below - leaned into Apple's classic aluminium aesthetic, the redesign - pictured above - is a lot warmer thanks to extensive use of timber.

The refreshed store still has the standard Apple fixtures, like the Genius Bar and daily "Today at Apple" learning sessions, but also has a few firsts for a New South Wales outlet. These include a larger dedicated space for Apple Watch and its accessories, and a dedicated Apple Pickup counter designed to speed up click and collect orders. Apple's recently opened Perth store is its only other local outlet with these inclusions.
Speaking at a preview event, Store Leader of Apple Chatswood, John Hamilton, described it as a "completely reimagined store offering".
"I'm just so thrilled to be able to officially welcome our community back into our store tomorrow morning," said Hamilton.
Apple's Chatswood outlet was its second in Australia, opening shortly after the launch of the iPhone 3G in August 2008 - the first iPhone to launch locally.
Here are a few snaps we took of the store at the preview session.
