After launching in the United States in November last year, Apple is finally bringing its latest Beats earbuds to Australia. The Beats Fit Pro will be available for pre-order from January 24 ahead of a January 28 release date. Locally, they'll set you back $299.95.
As the name may suggest, the Beats Fit Pro are geared toward exercise, featuring integrated flexible wingtips that help them in your ear when working out. The wire-free buds also come with active noise cancellation and spatial audio support with dynamic head tracking.
Most importantly, the Beats Fit Pro include Apple's H1 chip. The H1 is what give AirPods their secret sauce, allowing them to pair instantly with Apple devices and be shared across any compatible product connected to your Apple ID, whether it's an iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Mac. H1 also enables "Hey Siri" support. The fact the Beats Fit Pro feature H1 is notable, given Apple's last pair of Beats earbuds (the Beats Studio Buds) didn’t.
In terms of battery, the Beats Fit Pro should last up to six hours per charge with noise-cancelling on, or seven hours with it off. The included charging case provides up to 21 extra hours of battery before you'll need to top it up. USB C fast charging gets you as much as an hour of playback from a five-minute top-up, and the buds can go from flat to full in about 90 minutes.
The Beats Fit Pro are available in a choice of black, white, stone purple, or sage grey.
