Following the local launch of the LG G6 at the end of last month, LG has announced that a higher capacity version of its latest flagship will be available outright through JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman from April 13. The G6 smartphones sold through the pair of big box retailers will tout 64GB of expandable storage, up from 32GB in the model sold through Telstra on contract.
In addition, the 64GB LG G6 model will also have dual SIM support and Quad DAC audio, which facilitates improved playback of lossless music files.
The 64GB LG G6 will retail for $1,199, just under $200 more than the 32GB model available outright through Telstra for $1,008.
Other key specifications include an extra-tall 5.7-inch Quad HD+ display, a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of expandable storage, IP68 water-resistance, and a 3,300mAh battery. The G6 also touts two-rear facing cameras: one conventional 13MP camera, and one wide-angle 13MP camera with a 125-degree lens.
