Want $500 off a Galaxy S9? Easy. Head into a JB Hi-Fi this week, switch to Telstra, and you'll get Samsung's latest flagship at a hefty discount.

To be specific, you'll need to sign-up for Telstra's 25GB SIM-only plan through JB. You'll get this for $49 per month on a 12-month contract, and $500 off any Galaxy S9 model. After the discount, outright pricing is as follows:

• Galaxy S9 (256GB): $849
• Galaxy S9+ (64GB): $849
• Galaxy S9+ (256GB): $999

Unfortunately (but unsurprisingly) this offer isn't available to existing Telstra customers.
