Content fragments
At WhistleOut content fragments are small pieces of content like tables, break-out boxes, infographics and designed article components that we want to use in multiple places on our site.
The editorial team uses content fragments that fall into two categories:
- Snippets - We use these to make updating our articles easier. Snippets are used to insert the same information in many different places on the site. When the source content fragment is edited, the updated information automatically appears everywhere the content fragment has been inserted.
- Article Components - These are pre-designed components we add to articles. Components include elements like tables, break-out boxes, floating images and other features. These have been created for our use by the design and development team. We insert these into the article as HTML blocks and then fill them in with the information we want to add.
Click on the links above for more information about how to use snippets and article components, as well as a complete list of snippets and components we have available to use.
