Vodafone today announced plans and prices for the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3, both available to pre-order now with a few juicy pre-order bonuses.

Following Samsung’s launch announcement, Vodafone has confirmed it will range both of these futuristic-looking phones. When you stay connected on a $40 Lite Plan with 40GB/mth, the Galaxy Z Fold3 256GB starts from $109.41 per month over 36 months (total min cost $2538.76) and the Galaxy Z Flip3 128GB starts from $81.63 per month over 36 months (total min cost $1538.68).

Customers trading in an eligible Samsung phone in Good Working Order will save big with $300 credit for a Samsung Galaxy S9 or Galaxy Note 9 (or a newer device), plus a bonus trade-in credit of up to $700 off the price of a new Galaxy Z Fold3 handset, or $500 off the Z Flip3 when you stay connected to an eligible plan. This trade-in bonus offer is available until 31 October 2021.

On top of this, everyone who pre-orders before 9 September, 2021 is eligible to receive a select pair of Galaxy Buds headphones, or a Power Pack featuring a Samsung Trio Wireless charger and a phone case (and an S-Pen stylus with the Z Fold3). Those who opt for the Z Fold3 have a third option; a Productivity Pack which includes an S-Pen, a wireless keyboard and a Samsung universal phone stand. Full details of these bonus accessory packs can be seen on the Vodafone website.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3

The new Galaxy Z Fold3 is Samsung's third top-tier foldable smartphone and it builds on the previous models with a number of important feature updates.

Under the hood, the Z Fold3 has the best of everything, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, a huge 4500mAh battery and it comes with either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.

The folding display appears the same on the surface, with a similar 7.6-inch screen size on the inside, and 6.2-inch screen on the front-side of the device.

Unlike previous models, the Z Fold3 now supports Samsung’s excellent S-Pen stylus, which we have been fans of for years, and which has previously been reserved for the Samsung Galaxy Note phone range and a small selection of Samsung tablets.

The S-Pen, which is sold separately, is a natural fit for a device with a screen as large as the Fold3. Whether you’re a pocket artist, an avid notetaker, or you just want to keep your screen free from fingerprints, the stylus is a must-have accessory for this year’s Fold.

S-Pen support also suggests that Samsung is now confident that its folding screen tech is durable enough to withstand the scrubbing and stabbing of a stylus, which is great news.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3

Fancy a foldable that is a little more pocket-friendly? The Galaxy Z Flip3 has a number of improvements over last year’s model, and a number of similarities as well.

In 2021, the Z Flip3 is a similar shape and size to the previous model, with a 6.7-inch screen when the device is open, and a smaller 1.9-inch display on the top of the phone when it is folded closed. It measures about 1cm longer than the Samsung Galaxy S21, and of course, it is half and long when snapped shut.

It sports the same powerful Qualcomm processor as the Fold3, has 8GB RAM and comes with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. On the back of the handset are two 12-megapixel cameras, one for standard photos and the other an ultra-wide lens, which is handy for making sure you can get the entire extended family in your Christmas snaps.

Both handsets can be pre-ordered now from the Vodafone website.
