Editor's Pick: Best phone plans for calling the UK from Australia

London calling? Well, calling London, or anywhere else in the United Kingdom for that matter?

You don't need a Tardis to keep in touch with friends and family in the UK, you'll just need one of these phone plans.

The best plans for calling the United Kingdom

Telcos with unlimited talk & text to the UK

Many providers now offer unlimited international talk and text to the United Kingdom on select plans. These include Amaysim, Boost Mobile, Coles Mobile, Lebara, Optus, Telechoice, Telstra, Virgin Mobile, Vodafone, and Woolworths Mobile.

If you're on one of these telco, you'll want to double check whether or not your plan includes international calling before you dial. While some telcos offer international calls on every plan, some only include it on their higher price offerings.

WhistleOut's picks

Amaysim

All Amaysim "Unlimited" plans now include unlimited talk and text to the United Kingdom, regardless of how much you're paying. Amaysim's $25 Unlimited 2GB plan is one of the cheapest option for calling the UK, but if you need more data, Amaysim's pricier plans still have the same offer.

Boost Mobile

Boost Mobile is one of your other options if you want unlimited talk and text to the United Kingdom on a prepaid SIM as a standard inclusion. You'll get international calling on your plan from recharges priced starting at $40 and up.
