Alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung introduced a new, more affordable foldable phone: the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is effectively a remixed version of last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6. The screens are a little smaller than what you'd get on the Galaxy Z Flip 7, but you are getting it for a cheaper price.

Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE pre-orders are now open, ahead of an August 1 release date.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is only available on a mobile plan from Vodafone at this time, and it is only ranging the 256GB model. Vodafone offers the choice of 24-month and 36-month repayments when paying off a new phone. A 24-month term means you own your Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE faster, while a 36-month term results in a lower monthly bill.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is almost a dead ringer for last year's Galaxy Z Flip 6. Instead of featuring the new larger cover display, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE sticks with Samsung's older design. The external display is a 3.4-inch panel, while the internal screen measures in a 6.7-inch.

You can get the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is available in a choice of black or white.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has an identical camera configuration to the standard Galaxy Z Flip 7. You get a 50MP primary lens, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has a 4,000mAh battery, just like the Galaxy Z Flip 6. As such, we'd expect pretty similar battery life.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE is powered by a Samsung-made Exynos 2400 chipset. That's the same processor found in the Galaxy S24.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has 5G connectivity, but variants sold in Australia don't support mmWave 5G. mmWave is a faster type of 5G that telcos have slowly been rolling out, but very few devices support it locally.
